Evolution as Business Strategy
Every TA solution provider – from job boards, ATS, recruitment marketing companies, aggregators and programmatic platforms to AI-powered sourcing, communicating, managing and interviewing solutions – has faced the same unavoidable truth. Adapting to changing Buyer needs and Market dynamics is the key determinant of sustained success in the TA solutions industry. There are many ways to implement that truth, however, so are the approaches historically taken to effect company/product/strategy evolution still relevant today? If so, which have proven to be the most effective? And if not, what will work better in 2026 and beyond?

Consolidation in the TA Solutions Industry – Good, Bad or…?
2025 saw a number of big consolidation moves in the TA solutions industry. Some involved large HR vendors: Workday acquired Paradox and SAP bought SmartRecruiters. Others saw TA solution providers snap up their peers: BOLD won the bidding war for CareerBuilder + Monster and Tink AI acquired ApplyCall. All of which begs the question: will this consolidation continue in 2026 and if so, is it good, bad or unimportant for the future of the industry?

Is the Resume on Its Last Legs?
We’ve been talking about it for decades. The resume is an anachronistic document that’s not up to the task of accurately and effectively describing a candidate’s qualifications for a job. And yet, this outdated record remains the lingua franca of the job market. But, is that now about to change? Will AI finally and forever make the resume irrelevant? And if so, what will replace it?
