AI training is booming — and LinkedIn wants a piece of the pie. The careers networking site is in the early stages of launching an “AI labor marketplace” where people can make up to $150 an hour training AI chatbots to get better at everything from coding to nursing to finance, LinkedIn confirmed to Business Insider.
Humanly, the AI hiring platform transforming how organizations attract, screen, and interview talent, today announced it has acquired Anthill, an AI-powered platform built to help companies connect with and support frontline employees after hiring. The acquisition adds post-hire engagement capabilities to Humanly’s platform, strengthening its ability to help organizations not only hire more effectively, but also improve retention and workforce outcomes over time.
New research by Goldman Sachs economists finds that AI is already a measurable drag on the U.S. job market—erasing roughly 16,000 net jobs per month over the past year, with the pain falling hardest on Gen Z and entry-level workers.
Recruitment technology developed on the Isle of Man is expanding internationally with the launch of Island.jobs, a platform designed specifically to help employers in island economies connect with local job seekers. With the launch of Island.jobs, technology developed on the Isle of Man will now support recruitment across multiple island markets, including Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar.
A class action lawsuit against Otter.ai is picking up attention right now, and it deserves a closer look from anyone in talent acquisition. The allegation is that Otter’s notetaker was recording conversations on Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams without proper consent from all participants – and using those recordings to train its AI models. The case is before a federal judge in Northern California and covers violations of wiretap laws, privacy statutes, and unfair competition practices. This matters for recruiting because of what hiring conversations actually contain.
