Indeed pledges $10,000 to staff if their kids want to change gender

Online job site, Indeed, is offering all of its US staff (and their immediate family), $10,000 relocation expenses if they want to leave a state that has restrictions on transgender medical services. The payment also extends to helping staff who want to leave states that restrict support for children who identify as transgender or non-binary. In a statement, Misty Gaither, vice president of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at Indeed said: “Our transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming colleagues are integral to our business and culture at Indeed. We know employees thrive and do their best work when they can bring their authentic selves to work.” She added: “We also believe that everyone has the right to make the healthcare decisions that they feel are right for themselves and their families.” Currently, around 20 states prevent doctors from prescribing puberty blockers to children, while other states prevent surgeries that remove a child’s genitals or reconstruct his or her genitals to resemble the genitals of the opposite sex. These surgeries generally sterilize the child. But Jay Richards, the director of the Richard and Helen DeVos Center for Life, Religion, and Family at the Heritage Foundation, criticized Indeed’s move. “Plenty of American corporations think that the benefits of woke policies exceed the costs, and this policy by Indeed is surely an example of this.”

RChilli Introduces its Groundbreaking Innovation: RChilli Candidate Recharge

RChilli, the trusted partner for parsing, matching, and data enrichment, is thrilled to unveil its latest breakthrough concept - RCR (RChilli Candidate Recharge). With RCR, the company is revolutionizing the way candidate data is reprocessed in an ATS (Applicant Tracking System), ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for both ATS providers and their end users. RCR, short for RChilli Candidate Recharge, is an ingenious solution developed by RChilli to address the challenges faced while updating candidate data in an ATS. Traditional data migration processes often lead to inconsistencies and inaccuracies in candidate information, causing significant time and effort for recruiters to manually correct and update the data. At times, there is passive candidate data lying in the database which needs to be updated. This is where data reprocessing plays an important role. With RCR, RChilli aims to eliminate these obstacles by reprocessing the entire candidate data and securely saving it in the same ATS.

Danish online job-search website takes Google to court

Danish online job-search website Jobindex has filed a lawsuit against Alphabet's Google. The lawsuit comes a year after Jobindex complained to EU antitrust regulators that the US tech giant unfairly favoured its own job-search service. The Danish Media Association on behalf of Jobindex sued Google at a Danish court alleging copyright violations. This is the first lawsuit in the Danish courts under new EU copyright rules regarding platforms' liability for content uploaded to their services that came into force in 2021. In the lawsuit, Jobindex accuses Google of copying job ads to its own service without permission and wants compensation and damages for copyright violations. "We're willing to compete with Google, but it must be on equal terms, not with Google for Jobs having products on its shelves that aren't theirs," Jobindex Chief Executive Kaare Danielsen said in a statement.

'It's Uncomfortable': Women Say They're Being Trolled for Dates on LinkedIn

Is LinkedIn the new Tinder? While many of its 930 million members use the networking site for professional purposes, some see it as a way to hit on women, according to a new survey. But this isn't going over well with many female users who rely on the site for drumming up business, making contacts, and learning about recent trends. Some are even choosing to leave the site altogether. Passport Photo Online surveyed 1,049 US female LinkedIn users who log in to the platform at least once weekly about being propositioned on the platform. About 91% said they received romantic advances or sexually inappropriate messages at least once. Many unwanted flirtations (31%) come straight to their DMs. "It's amusing how my inbox is flooded with more messages from guys trying to hit on me than I receive from people seeking to network. I guess my charm and business acumen are just too irresistible for some," wrote one survey taker. The survey asked women to reveal the contents of the unasked-for overtures and found that nearly 32% received requests to date or hook up, 30% were asked for "intimate personal information," and 14% got unsolicited flattery.

New app Moments helps you maintain your personal and professional relationships

You may have heard of a CRM, but have you heard of a PRM — a personal relationship manager? That’s the concept behind a newly launched iOS app called Moments that aims to help people keep up with the relationships that matter most to them, both personal and professional, by offering advice, reminders and to-dos, among other features. It also includes an AI composer that can help you write personalized messages and emails tailored to your contacts. The idea of a personal relationship manager is not new. Other apps offer similar tools, like Clay, which added its own AI helper this year. Another app, Catchup, launched just last month to help people remember to check in with their friends and loved ones. The issue has become increasingly common in the social media age where scrolling posts and Stories make us feel like we’re still in touch with people, when in reality, we haven’t actually reached out directly. Moments was inspired by a similar frustration. Developer Robert Keus had previously launched an app, Scheduled, that allowed iOS users to prep iMessage texts they wanted to send at a later date — something he came up with after forgetting to say “happy birthday” to a friend. Moments builds on that desire to remember to stay in touch, but offers many more tools.
