Doritos Unleashes Silent Crunches
In a world where the crunch of a Dorito can measurably impact a gamer's performance, PepsiCo has decided to play the hero we never knew we needed. Introducing "Doritos Silent," the latest AI tech marvel designed to save you from the cacophony of mastication. Yes, you heard that right. After analyzing more than 5,000 crunches over six months of what I can only imagine were grueling hours of crunching, munching, and audio analyzing, PepsiCo's snack scientists have birthed software that uses AI to silence the sound of your snacking sins. Because, let's face it – the only thing worse than being fragged by a twelve-year-old in Fortnite is listening to him chomp on Doritos while he does it.
FutureFit AI Launches Beta of New Career Assistant
FutureFit AI has launched a new AI-powered career assistant called Career Copilot in beta. This intelligent career assistant is powered by generative AI and aims to connect job seekers and workers with career services, training programs, and jobs, in partnership with both government agencies and employers. The company’s goal is to offer a transformative approach to providing job seekers and workers with quality career guidance, access to skills training, and job search at a fraction of the cost. The beta version of Career Copilot is being offered to government agencies and employers. Government agencies have the opportunity to transform their workforce services provided to job seekers by offering a version of Career Copilot specific to their organization that can intake local program data, triage job seekers to the right services, and complement existing workflows to enhance staff capacity. Employers have the opportunity to transform their support for both existing employees and candidates in the hiring process by offering a version of Career Copilot specific to their company that can intake open roles, direct individuals to internal and external resources, and provide critical talent data insights.

As Bill Gates invests in personal AI, says agents will be a ‘shock wave’
In a blog post yesterday about how personal AI agents will completely change how people use computers — just a few days after OpenAI announced its “baby steps” towards agents with its Assistants API — Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates said that personal AI agents will be a ‘shock wave’ in the tech industry and society. “In the near future, anyone who’s online will be able to have a personal assistant powered by artificial intelligence that’s far beyond today’s technology,” he wrote. “Agents will be able to help with virtually any activity and any area of life. The ramifications for the software business and for society will be profound.” What Gates does not mention in the post is that he already has some serious skin in the personal AI game: In an interview with Bill Gates this past May during a Goldman Sachs and SV Angel event on AI, Bill Gates said the first company to develop a personal agent to disrupt SEO would have a “leg up on competitors.” “Whoever wins the personal agent, that’s the big thing, because you will never go to a search site again, you will never go to a productivity site, you’ll never go to Amazon again,” he said. By June, Gates — along with Nvidia, Microsoft, Reid Hoffman and Eric Schmidt — had invested in Inflection AI as part of an eye-popping $1.3 billion funding round. Gates had mentioned Inflection at a San Francisco event, saying that “it’s 50-50 as to whether the AI winner behind the digital agent will come from Big Tech or the startup world,” adding that he was “impressed with a couple of startups, including Inflection.”
Hiring the Workforce of the Future: What It Takes to Hire for Today—and Tomorrow
Recently, we dove into some exciting, first-party research with a simple goal: understand—from the senior-level executive perspective—what, exactly, it takes to hire for today and tomorrow. It’s a big question. And as we discovered, there’s no one answer. But that’s what makes this deep dive so exciting. One thing was clear even before we launched our study: employees want more. After the pandemic, people took a good, hard look at their work and life and tried to connect the dots. Going “back to work” couldn’t look the same as before the pandemic—or the past few decades. To excel, HR leaders need to respond—to embrace flexibility and empathy and create cultures of well-being, inclusion, and evolution. Do this, and organizations will be best positioned to attract and retain talent.
